This means that they were imagined, conceptualised, represented, and modelled to have the capacity to express and keep a sound, which expresses both the desire for reproduction, transmission, capitalisation, and most especially a desire to make eternal a dream of eternity...

Besides musical instruments in all their states, this colloquium intends to assess the situation of all of African art in the stakes of global competitiveness: where does this instrument come from? What is it used for? Who uses it? Which music does it promote? How far? To which extent...?

Ultimately, the colloquium should make it possible to measure the value of African musical instruments on the global scale, knowing that every value knows and must be able to state its limitations, without evasion, disdain and unbridled romanticism.”
